1. Family and Friends
Cant live without them. They are the people who know me best, who inspire me and keep me grounded. I cherish every single moment I get to spend with them.
For a girl who loves all her apple gear equally this is one device that is my most favourite of them all. It keeps me organized, serves as my GPS, and without it I wouldn’t know what day it is. This little gadget keeps me entertained by storing my endless playlists, and helps me stay distracted by keeping me connected to my favourite Instagram accounts, blogs and endless group chats with friends and family all over world.
I have a confession - I hoard books. I love collecting books of people who inspire me like Stefan Sagmiester and Karl Lagerfeld. I also love collecting really eclectic books from illustrators like Edward Gorey and Tim Burton, the weirder they are, the better.
For a girl who didn’t grow up with wine, this is one of my favourite recent hobbies. I am part of a wine club with a group of friends, some of whom are true wine collectors and have shared their extensive knowledge in this subject. I just love getting together and learning/drinking wine from different regions of the world. I think this month we are going down under and learning about wines from Australia and New Zealand.
Another obsession of mine! I sometimes watch movies over and over again and am always discovering something new, especially ones directed by Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino and Christopher Nolan. Recently I'm loving big screen directors moving to the small screen like Steven Soderbergh with his show The Knick on HBO. The art direction and production of the show sets the bar pretty high for new contenders.
I grew up listening to pretty epic music thanks to my awesome mum. We listened to everything from The Beatles, David Bowie to Duran Duran and of course Madonna. I love going on road trips with my BF who is a music encyclopedia. Naps are never an option on these trips you, might miss a good one.
I come from a culture where jewelry is a part of our family history. It has taught me to always invest in a piece you feel a connection to. Ever since I started traveling about 10 years ago I’ve collected one piece from each city I’ve ever visited as a little souvenir. So far my favourite one is my emerald pendant from Krakow, Poland.
I grew up in a home that was always filled with family and friends coming together for big dinner parties and my parents always cooked everything from scratch. Now that I’m a grown up, I love doing the same, it’s not as much fun cooking for just one.
I am a giant nerd who loves moleskin notebooks and all kinds of pens and pencils, especially when they match… #nerd
10. Chuck Taylors
They go everywhere with me - bungie jumping, concerts, grocery shopping, and bike riding. If I could wear them every day I honestly would.
