SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER

VANCOUVER studio

Your Qualifications:

  • A degree in Interior Design from an accredited program
  • 8+ years of relevant experience as a commercial interior designer with a strong background in at least two of the following sectors: food + beverage, retail, workplace and multifamily
  • Registered, or eligible for registration with IDC
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Project
  • Experience in Revit would be an asset

Your Strengths:

  • A desire to engage and invest in the growth and future of yourself, our firm and projects
  • Strong design portfolio demonstrating significant design skills and project management on projects from concept through completion
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills, including the ability to lead and work effectively within a range of team compositions
  • Experience leading project teams from early design phases through to construction completion
  • Proficiency generating and leading a team in the production of construction drawings and specifications
  • Experience managing and leading multiple aspects of client, team and project coordination on multiple projects at a time
  • Strong knowledge of local building code and standards
  • Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project
  • Experience in all aspects of construction administration
  • Strong client relationship management and team communication
  • Strong leadership in mentoring junior + intermediate team members and supporting project leads
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining project budgeting and scheduling

Your Qualifications:

  • 5+ years progressive experience working in an architect’s office on a variety of project types and sizes
  • Certificate or Diploma in Architectural Technology
  • An advanced understanding of building code, building systems, components and the construction process
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Project

Your Strengths:

  • A desire to engage and invest in the growth and future of yourself, our firm and projects
  • Displays an ability to ensure critical deadlines are met, including an ability to handle pressure and managing multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously
  • Develops technical drawings and details which meet the design intent of and are rooted in best practices of Building Envelope science
  • Supports the team in the maintenance of project schedule and meeting project objectives and milestones
  • Demonstrate awareness of latest industry wide initiatives, technologies and processes within the Technology community
  • Participates in project reviews regarding project costs, budgets and adherence to schedule
  • Participates in the Construction Contract Administration phase and coordinate and review submittals
  • Capable of acting as a leader, coach & mentor to technical staff & junior architects / interior designers

 

CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION SPECIALIST

Your Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the preparation of contract documents in a team setting
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in standard contract administration functions, field and office
  • Experience in a range of construction and building types, with particular emphasis on building envelope expertise and medium and large scale mixed-use and multi-family (wood frame and concrete constructions.) 
  • Proficiency with REVIT, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Project

  • Client relationship management and team communication
  • Building envelope expertise
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills onsite
  • Experience resolving complex technical and design issues  
  • Proficiency generating technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience managing multiple aspects of client, team and project coordination
  • Broad knowledge of building codes and standards
  • Preparation of Bid documents and addenda
  • Preparation of all construction contract documents including Certificates for Payment, General Field Review
    reports, Change Notices/Directives/Orders, Supplemental Instructions, RFI responses etc
  • Shop drawing review
  • Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project
  • Experience in all aspects of construction administration  
  • Mentoring junior team members and supporting project leads
  • Interest in establishing and maintaining project budgeting and scheduling
