SENIOR ARCHITECT

Calgary + Vancouver Studios

Your Qualifications: 

  • A desire to engage and invest in the growth and future of our firm and projects
  • 10+ years of relevant experience as a lead designer and project architect with a strong background in commercial and multifamily projects
  • Registered, or eligible for registration with the AIBC and/or AAA.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Project

Your Strengths:

  • Strong design portfolio demonstrating significant design skills on projects from concept through completion
  • Client relationship management and team communication
  • Lead projects from early design phases to construction completion
  • Experience resolving complex technical and design issues
  • Proficiency generating technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience managing multiple aspects of client, team, and project coordination
  • Broad knowledge of building codes and standards
  • Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project
  • Proven construction administration skills and experience
  • Engaged in mentoring junior and intermediate team members
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills, including the ability to work effectively within a range of team compositions
  • Experience in the preparation of fee proposals, contract writing
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain project budgeting and scheduling
 

SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER

Vancouver Studio

Your Qualifications:

  • A desire to engage and invest in the growth and future of yourself, our firm and projects
  • A degree in Interior Design from an accredited program
  • 8+ years of relevant experience as a commercial interior designer with a strong background in at least two of the following sectors: food + beverage, retail, workplace, and multifamily
  • Registered, or eligible for registration with IDC
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Project
  • Experience in Revit would be an asset

Your Strengths:

  • Strong design portfolio demonstrating significant design skills and project management on projects from concept through completion
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills, including the ability to lead and work effectively within a range of team compositions
  • Experience leading project teams from early design phases through to construction completion
  • Proficiency generating and leading a team in the production of construction drawings and specifications
  • Experience managing and leading multiple aspects of client, team and project coordination on multiple projects at a time
  • Strong knowledge of local building code and standards

SENIOR TECHNOLOGIST

Calgary Studio

Your Qualifications:

  • A desire to engage and invest in the growth and future of yourself, our firm and projects
  • Has a certificate or diploma in Architectural Technology
  • 10+ years progressive experience working in an architect’s office on a variety of project types and sizes including commercial, institutional, retail and residential (both single family and multi-family) projects.
  • An advanced understanding of building code, building science and systems
  • An advanced understanding and experience with construction administration phase
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Project

Your Strengths:

  • Oversee quality of technical assignments (including drawing standards and building code review and application)
  • Leads and is an active participant in the construction document production and consultant coordination on several large scale projects
  • Manages the team in the maintenance of project schedule and meeting project objectives and milestones
  • Establishes and maintains Quality Assurance and Control of the construction documentation for the duration of the project
  • Displays an ability to ensure critical deadlines are met, including an ability to handle pressure and managing multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously
  • Outstanding technical sensibilities and acumen
  • Leads the technical drawings and details which meet the design intent of and are rooted in best practices of Building Envelope science
  • Demonstrate awareness of latest industry-wide initiatives, technologies and processes within the Technology community
  • Has extensive experience coordinating specifications and in-depth product knowledge
  • Leads  the Construction Contract Administration phase and coordinate and review submittals
  • Capable of monitoring a variety of complex projects simultaneously
  • Ability and desire to foster mentorship at all levels throughout the firm
