Your Qualifications:

  • A degree in Interior Design from an accredited program

  • 5+ years of relevant experience as a commercial interior designer with a strong background in at least two of the following sectors: food + beverage, retail, workplace and multifamily

  • Registered, or eligible for registration with IDC

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Project

  • Experience in Revit would be an asset

Your Strengths:

  • A desire to engage and invest in the growth and future of yourself, our firm and projects

  • Strong design portfolio demonstrating significant design skills and project management on projects from concept through completion

  • Strong communication and relationship management skills, including the ability to work effectively within a range of team compositions

  • Support and starting to lead project teams from early design phases through to construction completion

  • Proficiency generating construction drawings and specifications

  • Experience managing multiple aspects of client, team and project coordination on multiple projects at a time

  • Broad knowledge of building codes and standards

  • Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project

  • Experience in all aspects of construction administration

  • Client relationship management and team communication

  • Starting to mentor junior team members and supporting project leads

  • Interest in establishing and maintaining project budgeting and scheduling
